"Avoid Precor Home Fitness Like the Plague!"
Steer clear of Precor Home Fitness, also known as Top Fitness, based in Irving, Texas. They completely ignore the guidelines laid out on the Precor Corp website, which clearly state that authorized dealers are supposed to offer certified installers for their equipment. Instead, Jessica from Customer Service suggested a construction contractor who isn’t licensed or insured, which is a huge red flag.
I reached out over 30 times through emails, texts, and phone calls, but they just wouldn’t follow the standards set by Precor Corp. You can check out their own documents for yourself; they’re linked here. Even Precor Corp's customer service has turned a blind eye to enforcing their own dealer requirements. If you need a new Precor treadmill, it’s supposed to be installed by a certified service installer, but good luck with that!
For the details on who should install, check out precorconnect.com’s FAQ section. The docs on Precor Certification Installer show that dealers are required to have authorized installers, and they need to provide proof of certification.
It’s also worth noting that the same customer support team has been giving the same excuses to other customers. They claim to have made several phone calls, but that’s just a load of nonsense. They ignored my 30 attempts to reach them, and when they did respond, they kept pushing for an unlicensed installer, which is against Precor Corp’s own rules. If that happens, your warranty is basically worthless.
Precor Corp’s customer service didn’t stick to their own policies and never offered a certified installer when I asked. Their website states that they would provide one if needed, but that was a lie. This issue is the same with Precor Home Fitness; they also refused to give me an authorized installer. Remember, if your treadmill isn’t installed by a certified installer, the warranty is void, whether you bought it from Precor Corp or this so-called authorized dealer, Precor Home Fitness, aka Top Fitness.
When you call their 888 number, you’re just talking to a third-party answering service. They can’t connect you to a manager and just take messages. I left eight messages, and no one ever got back to me. Jessica, the Customer Manager at another location, didn’t resolve my issues after I sent all those emails and texts. This dealer shouldn’t even be labeled as authorized.
I’ve filed complaints with the owner and CEO of Precor Home Fitness, as well as with Precor Corp executives and their customer service director, but I’ve heard nothing back.
Bottom line: don’t buy from Precor Corp or any Precor Home Fitness locations in the USA. They both refuse to provide the certified installers that their own documents say they should.

"Terrible Experience with Precor Equipment"
Precor's gear is just not worth a dime. I’ve got a Precor Plate Loaded Chest Press, and guess what? The frame developed a crack at the welds. This is a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE and shows some shoddy workmanship from Precor. The frame broke at the joints, leaving it with zero support.
I reached out to Precor, letting them know about the problem and sent over pictures showing the cracks, along with the machine's serial number and my address. I mentioned that I couldn’t find the original receipt since it got lost, but the machine was registered when I bought it, so they had all the info they needed to sort out my complaint.
But Precor just won’t step up to the plate. They keep coming up with excuse after excuse for not fixing the cracked frame. It’s like they make equipment that just falls apart, and when you try to get help, they always find a way to dodge responsibility. This has been a common theme with Precor, and I’m not the only one saying this. Just do a quick search, and you’ll see. Their warranty? It’s basically nonexistent.

"Scammer Company Sold Moldy Equipment"
I really wish I had paid attention to the other reviews before wasting $1200 on this company. This has been the absolute worst experience I've ever faced, both with the product and the truly awful service. They sent me a used item that was crawling with toxic mold and mildew, which ended up contaminating my home and making my family sick. We had no option but to toss it out after the only customer service rep told us it would take a week for them to come pick it up. They harmed my child, infected our living space, damaged our property, and had the nerve to keep my money while refusing a refund. This company is a real danger and operates like a scam, with just ONE customer service rep who is completely out of control. If you've already spent your cash, I feel for you, but don’t expect to see anything back. If you haven't, steer clear of these monsters at all costs.
"Awful support from the company!"
Awful support from the company! Our incline just quit working because of an error six months after we bought the Precor treadmill! It's been over a year now, and instead of sending a technician, they keep mailing us parts. The real issue is their complex programming that requires a skilled technician, not just parts! If they can't send techs to certain areas, they really ought to stop selling their pricey treadmills there! I've thrown away $5000 on this treadmill. So let down.

"Rocky start, but customer support is stepping up"
Update: The support team reached out to me right away and graciously offered some alternatives to get a bike to me quicker. Sadly, the one I picked is the only one that meets my needs, so I’ll just have to hang tight. They also threw in free delivery and installation to make amends. Stuff happens, I understand, but it’s really about how a business deals with problems that matters most to me. They’ve also revamped their policy regarding out-of-stock items to inform customers directly. I’ll reassess this and likely increase my rating once the bike arrives and is working well. So far, I’m pleased with the person I spoke to today (Brian), who really went the extra mile to resolve the situation. Kudos!

There was no sign that the bike I ordered nine weeks ago was on backorder, and it’s still marked as "on sale" on their site. After placing my order, I got an email saying it would take 2-3 weeks. A month later, I reached out, but got no response. I called and was told mine would ship the following week. A few weeks later, I emailed again and was informed that they haven’t even started making them yet (another two weeks) and that I’m just on the waitlist. Very misleading!

"Still Waiting on My 4x8 Mat"
I placed an order for a two-piece 4x8 mat to put under my treadmill. I made the order on December 3, 2020, and I was aware that shipping might take a bit longer than normal. That was fine since the folks I got the treadmill from mentioned it would take at least 40 days for delivery. I ordered the treadmill on the same day, and it arrived on January 4, 2021. However, precor sent me the wrong mat on December 22, 2020. Now it's January 5, 2021, and I'm still in the dark about my equipment mat—no updates, not even an email. I had to reach out yesterday, but they still couldn't provide any info. Honestly, I'm relieved I didn't go for a bigger mat than 4x8.

"Is this a rip-off?"
I ordered a home gym a couple of weeks back and have tried reaching out multiple times for a shipping update. No reply at all. I get that Covid-19 has messed with shipping times, but come on, some communication is necessary for us buyers. Do you even have the gear or what? If not, can you promise it’ll be here in the next few weeks? I'm seriously thinking about calling the Better Business Bureau. You had no issue taking my cash!
Update: I finally heard back that the shipment is pushed to the New Year. Still waiting on a delivery confirmation date. I’ll keep you posted.

"Consider checking reviews prior to..."
It's wise to check out reviews before making a purchase. I ordered an exercise mat, but I never got any shipping info or tracking details. I attempted to reach out via email and phone, but no one got back to me. I'm thinking about ways to get my money back, but if you haven't bought from them yet, do yourself a favor and look for alternatives. Who knows, they might not even be operating anymore.

"Waiting Over 3 Months for a Multifunctional Machine"
I've been waiting over 3 months for the Inspire machine, and they initially said it would take just 4 weeks. They keep telling me it’ll be ready next week or in a few days, but honestly, it feels like they’re not being straight with us. If you try to order the same thing now, they’ll give you the same old lead time and excuses, even though they know it’s not accurate. I asked about how to get a refund if I decide to go that route, but they haven’t bothered to respond to my inquiry.

"Still waiting on my June order"
I placed my order on June 29th and still haven't gotten my gear. I've emailed, called, and even tried the online chat, but the responses are super slow. When I finally hear back, I'm told my stuff will either ship next week or that I'll get an update then. This has been a really frustrating experience for someone buying for the first time.
"Still No Update..."
I placed an order with Precor on May 30, and here we are on July 1st with no updates about delivery. The item was available when I ordered, and I got a confirmation saying lead times could be up to 10 days due to the current situation (which I was cool with). I've sent three emails to their customer service, but not a single reply! I also tried the online sales support chat, and for the past three weeks, they keep telling me I'm 4th on the allocation list and should expect it by the end of the week... but here we are, another week gone by with no news. I’m starting to wonder if this is how Precor usually handles online orders. I’ll definitely think twice before buying from them again. This has been the worst customer service I’ve encountered for something that costs over $2k.

"Fantastic Deals on Fitness Gear!"
The prices were truly awesome. I've bought fitness gear from Precor Home Fitness multiple times, and it's always been top-notch. My orders arrived fast, and everything was packed with care. I reckon this won't be the last time I shop at Precor Home Fitness XD

"Fantastic Support from the Team"
The customer support was top-notch. Super helpful and not at all pushy. My family really enjoyed the exercise equipment. I’ll be returning to grab another machine, likely a treadmill. Appreciate it!

"It's been just two weeks since we got it..."
It's been just two weeks since we got it, and we haven't managed to use it at all. It was broken right out of the box. We're still waiting for someone to come and repair it. Did we end up with a floor model? Or maybe just a lemon?

"Awesome Support After Purchase!"
The customer service after the sale was amazing. I ran into a few shipping problems, but Lisa Singleton really came through for me. The prices were way better than what I found at the local Precor fitness store, which wanted to charge me extra for a floor model and then hit me with delivery fees. I ended up saving $200 plus those delivery costs - what a deal!
